The following is an excerpt from an article from Health.com, which featured Dr. Joe McCord, founder of Pathways Bioscience, on the latest research into luteolin, a key ingredient in PB125. Read more of Dr. McCord’s insights into this powerful compound here.

Do you want to keep from going gray? Scientists are investigating how eating a rainbow of foods might be able to help.

In a new study, luteolin—a plant compound with antioxidant effects found in broccoli, carrots, onions, and other vegetables—suppressed the process of hair graying in mice.12 The research was published in December in the journal Antioxidants.3

The results are fascinating, especially since luteolin is so common in the human diet, Joe McCord, PhD, retired professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and founder of Pathways Bioscience, told Health. The compound could be a strong candidate for further anti-aging research, he said.

PB125® is a safe, potent Nrf2 activator containing active ingredients carnosol, withaferin A and luteolin. Derived from natural plants, these ingredients were extensively studied for their synergistic properties. Every ingredient and the final product undergo triple testing in Pathways Bioscience’s laboratory to ensure optimal quality and biological activity.
